【摘要】:Thispracticemaybeusedforapproximatingalimitingdesignstressatroomtemperatureand,insomecases,forapproximatingtherangeofelasticbehavior.Elasticlimit,orthegreateststressthatamaterialiscapableofsustainingwithoutanypermanentstrainremaininguponcompletereleaseofthestress,isamoretechnicallyaccuratedesignparameter;however,theelasticlimitisextremelydifficulttomeasureinroutinetesting.Cautionshouldbeusedinapplyingsuchvaluestopredictthebehaviorofflatorwirespringsinbending,torsionorotherstressmodes,orattemperaturesotherthanthatatwhichthedeterminationismade.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationoftheyieldstrength(0.01%,0.02%,and0.05%offset),atroomtemperature.Itisintendedforcopperalloysintemperscommonlyusedforspringapplications,andmaterialsthickerthan0.010in.(0.25mm).1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
